• West Horsley Place is home to the remarkable Crewe Book Collection (much of which has now been donated to Trinity College, Cambridge) which forms our atmospheric library. Floor to ceiling bookcases, antique furniture and mediaeval wall arches (complete with witches’ marks) have made this room a favourite with filmmakers. Available for private events including receptions and seated dinners, catering for up to 40 guests.

  • The beautiful Venetian window in Lady Crewe’s bedroom frames a view of acres of rolling meadow, its pale walls, ornate cornicing and intricately carved fireplace give it a delicate feminine character. Available for private events including receptions and seated dinners, catering for up to 50 guests.

  • Our 5 acres of formal walled gardens were laid out in 1710 and feature the rare and beautiful crinkle-crankle (or serpentine) wall, as well as a charming and spacious walled orchard. The gardens offer a variety of possible locations for marquees of any size.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
